Selected as the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Daniels quickly proved why he deserved such a high selection. His combination of accuracy, poise, and athleticism made him one of the league’s most exciting players to watch. Daniels made history as the first rookie to throw for over 3,500 yards while rushing for more than 800 yards in a single season. His dual-threat ability kept opposing defenses guessing and powered the Commanders to an average of 28.5 points per game, the highest-ever for a team led by a rookie quarterback.

One of the defining moments of Daniels’ rookie campaign was his jaw-dropping Hail Mary throw to defeat the Chicago Bears in November. That incredible play earned him the NFL’s Moment of the Year award and solidified his reputation as a playmaker under pressure.

Daniels ended his debut season with near-unanimous acclaim, receiving 49 of the 50 first-place votes for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. His performance not only broke records but also reinvigorated the Commanders franchise, bringing hope and excitement to a fanbase that had long awaited a resurgence.

With such a spectacular first year under his belt, Daniels has set the stage for what promises to be a bright and impactful NFL career. Washington’s future looks brighter than it has in decades, thanks to their young star quarterback.
