Live Smoke Grenade Found In Waldorf Yard

(Waldorf, MD)  —   A State Fire Marshal’s Bomb Squad unit had to be summoned to a home in Waldorf after a man doing yard work stumbled upon a live grenade. The Fire Marshal’s office says the M-80 smoke grenade was still live when it was unearthed over the weekend on Oakley Road.  Authorities were able to countercharge it and dispose of the grenade without incident.
