The 2024 Olympics have come to an end but the pride for your country doesn’t go away! There were many accomplishments made this year that will live on forever and in this year’s games among the 6 continents and184 countries who qualified, 12 countries were from the continent of Africa.

As shared on africanews.com, Kenya lead in winning 11 medals adding to the continents total of 38 medals at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Kenyan athletes excelled in both marathon events, thanks to Hellen Obiri (photographed above) and Benson Kipruto, who both won bronze medals. Egypt brought a diverse range of talents competing in; modern pentathlon with Ahmed Elgendy who secured the Gold medal, weightlifting with Sara Ahmed (photographed below) earning a silver medal and Fencing with Mohamed Elsayed who brought home a bonze medal.
